New Delhi: Abhay Deol, who is making his Hollywood debut in period drama 'Singularity' with Bipasha Basu, says it is a dream come true for him to team up with 'City Of Joy' director, Roland Joffe.
The 35-year-old said he wanted to work with the Oscar-nominated French helmer after watching his 'Mission' and did 'Singularity' for the 'experience'.
"I wanted to work with Roland since I saw 'Mission'. I was really happy when I got the offer and it was incredible shooting with them... It was an experience," Abhay told PTI.
Asked about the difference in the working style of Hollywood and Bollywood, Abhay said he was particularly impressed with how disciplined the international crew was.
"There is not much difference in shooting for a Bollywood and Hollywood film. It's the same but they (Hollywood) are more rigid and disciplined than over here. The attitude is laid back towards things here. Actors can come any time and leave any time here but Hollywood people are very particular about timings."
"When they came to India for shooting they found it a little chaotic but it worked at the end of the day," Abhay said.
The actor, who consciously stayed away from formula films to create a niche for himself with films like 'Dev D', 'Manorama Six Feet Under' and 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!', feels that he is at a point in his career where he can balance both.
